In her own psychology practice, she used a variety of assessment measures including cognitive, interest and skills and values, interviewing and observation to diagnose and treat psychological disorders, mainly social anxiety and panic disorders. She had a personal history with these disorders herself so she could relate to clients and more importantly, they could feel understood and begin to deal with their maladies. Career development helped motivate persons to take risks and self actualize, becoming the ‘best they could be’. Instead of shrinking away due to fear, anxiety and depression, clients came to embrace life , sometimes within a relatively short period of time.

Jane lives in St. Paul, Minnesota where she was born and raised. She has an adult daughter who also lives in St. Paul.  She often has a foster dog or cat roaming around her house until they find a ‘forever home’.
